Church in the Park is Sunday, August 9—remember, there will be no worship service in the church building that morning. Instead, we’ll gather at noon at Evergreen Rotary Park with the Samoan Pentecostal Church for a brief worship service followed by a BBQ/potluck.

Bring a potluck dish to share (Summit is covering sides, salads, desserts, and beverages), a lawn chair for yourself if you have one, and any extra lawn chairs you’re willing to share.

We’re meeting at Shelters 5 and 6, closer to the 9/11 memorial than to the playground area most people think of as the “main” part of the park. When approaching Evergreen, do not turn into the main parking lot; instead, turn right on Sheldon Blvd and continue driving with the park on your left. Shelters 5 and 6 are the next structures on your left you will come to (marked in red on the map). There’s plenty of street parking right there or it’s a short walk from the 9/11 Memorial parking lot (parking is marked in yellow on the map). Look for the Summit Avenue sandwich boards—they’ll be pointing the way.

We’re excited to see you there!
