BURNT TOAST: YOUTH CONFIRMATION CLASS

Burnt Toast is an 8-week confirmation course to help students develop a strong Christian Identity and to explore the tenets of faith. We will have a few field trips to different worship services as well as a celebration time at the end of the 8 week course.

When: Wednesday nights starting Oct.12-Nov. 30 (no meeting on Nov. 23rd).

We believe that personal mentorship, and service are important to the spiritual formation of the youth so we are incorporating opportunities to serve as well as small groups for personal investment.

 

Serve Groups:

Join us as we serve homeless alongside with Kitsap Rescue Mission. We need help loading and unloading tables/chairs, and serving food! This is for all youth 7-12 grade. You will need a signed waiver form to participate. All waiver forms are good for the year 2016. If you do not currently have one on hand from past events this year, you can click the link above to view the attached form. Print it out and have it signed prior to serving with us.

DAY: First Sunday of each Month:  

TIME/PLACE: We will meet at SAPC at 2:00pm. From there we will leave at 2:10pm. We will load and unload the food truck to serve homeless offsite and return by 4:00pm for pick up. You must RSVP to ensure we have sufficient transportation.

Fall Youth Camp: Oct 21-23

Summit Youth is partnering with Newport PC and St. Andrew's PC youth groups from Bellevue and Renton for our Fall Retreat to Sound View Camp. Fun, friends, and great food. We'll worship, play and enjoy God's great outdoors. Activities include: a big corn maze and fall festival with group games and costume party.

EASTER PROJECT: INFO MEETING

This year we are once again offering the opportunity for Freshman through Senior High School students (grades 9-12) to participate in what has come to be known as the "Easter Project". This is our house building mission trip to Tijuana during Spring break. The trip this upcoming year will be April 1-8, 2017.

Students who might be interested should attend the information night Thursday October 13 in SAPC Youth Room 6:30-8pm, and receive an Info Packet. Parents, family, friends are also strongly encouraged to attend the info gathering.

THE SUMMIT: Youth Gathering

If you are new to Youth, this would be your first step to getting plugged in! Once a month join Summit Youth for worship, interactive games and team-building activities, food and snacks, and energized group time at SAPC. Bring a friend and experience what it means to be a apart of something bigger than yourself.

DAYS:  Typically the last Sunday of the month but with holidays the schedule can change. Refer to the youth calendar for specific info.

TIME/PLACE: Youth Room at SAPC starting at 3:30-5pm. Come early at 3:00pm and hang out, eat some food and snacks and play games. Our youth room has a ping pong table, pool table, air hockey table, board games, snack bar, and large parking with a basketball hoop and room for tossing a football/Frisbee. There is plenty to do!
