thriving congregations program
Seek the peace and well-being of the city to which I have sent you. – Jeremiah 29:7
Seattle Presbytery
In 2020, the Seattle Presbytery was awarded a four-year Thriving Congregations grant from the Lilly Endowment. In 2021, Summit participated in the Thriving Congregations Program (TCP) as a “Year 2” congregation. It was a challenging and engaging year of listening, learning, and leaning into what it means to thrive as a faith community.
In the spring of 2022, our Summit TCP team worked with the Presbytery TCP staff to develop a proposal to fund a 3-5 year learning journey at Summit. The proposal was approved by the Summit elders at their April Session meeting and it was then submitted to the Seattle Presbytery Executive Board for approval.

We appreciate your feedback and your prayers. We anticipate several congregational conversations this spring and summer to engage with you all and listen to the Spirit’s leading together.
