Who We Are
Summit Avenue is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a More Light church, open and affirming to people of every age, background, sexual orientation and gender identity. We've been part of Bremerton since the city's earliest days, when we were known as the "Church on the Hill," and we're still here, a few blocks from the shipyard, doing our best to love God, love our neighbors, and serve the world. What to Expect on Sunday
Worship begins at 10:30 am in the sanctuary and is livestreamed on YouTube. Our services blend traditional and contemporary elements, with music, scripture, prayer and a sermon from our co-pastors, Rev. Dr. Susie Beil and Rev. Staci Imes. Children are always welcome, and Summit Kids offers Godly Play child care for all ages on Sunday mornings. Afterward, everyone is invited to coffee and conversation in Robinson Hall. Faith at Summit is something we do together, in and beyond our walls:
A weekly community lunch with Meals on Wheels Kitsap, every Wednesday at noon
The Kitsap Neighborhood Little Pantry, open to anyone who needs it
A monthly outdoor meal for our unhoused neighbors with Kitsap Rescue Mission
Christmas gifts for local families through Kitsap Community Resources
Care for creation through our Summit Green Team
